1970 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY T-TOPS #’s match 350/300HP/10:25 Comp Ratio CTG Suffix Code, VIN# 194370S47703 3 Speed Automatic, Paint code 976 Mulsanne Blue with Interior Code 400/Black Vinyl Interior. Loaded with some decent options for 1970 – POWER STEERING POWER BRAKES AC (complete but does not work), and AM/FM Flip Band Radio(does not work), Shoulder Belts. Side windows(Astro Ventilation) and rear removable glass are all original glass, windshield is not. The car has been through a previous restoration and is very clean. Headlights and wiper bay doors work as they should. Recently replaced RR Caliper, headlight actuator and a wiper door vacuum switch. Odometer reads 35,XXX there is no telling if rolled over or not. Previous owner claims they are original miles and that’s why bottom of car looks so good but if it can’t be proven, who knows. This Corvette was restored as a complete frame-on project about 6-8 years ago and I would consider it to be a solid and complete driver with tinkering left to do. Doors, hood are very tight fitting. Frame was media blasted, treated and coated with?? It literally has “like new” parts in every wheel well and entire bottom of car(floor pans, any exposed fiberglass in undercarriage, etc.). See pics. A lot of the bottom of the vette literally looks brand new. Bird cage and obvious areas look really good(see pics) rust preventative steps take most likely when restoration took place. See pics too. All body mounts were replaced and look very good and solid. Engine was rebuilt and transmission was rebuilt as well. Currently has a Browler Carb on it which I think is complete overkill for the car and more complicated to tune than a std Rochester. A Competition Cam was added in rebuild and specs of cam are in pics, listen to video. In all the work done, here is everything that was reported to be replaced in restoration: New Suspension, Shocks, Ball Joints, New Exhaust, Brake Booster, Gas tank, Master Cylinder, Calipers, Brake Lines, Carpet kit, recently a new battery, Wheels and Tires. Wheels have some surface rust that are cleaned up as good as they could be. To me, because of stitching on back of seats, they seem/appear to me to be original. Carpet has been replaced. Exhaust was redone and chrome bumpers are in good shape. Dust cover for flywheel is now placed on the car but not seen in pics. The positives, the bones and a lot of the work was done very well. Car still needs quite a few things so for someone that really wants a 1970 and wants to tinker, that’s why this car isn’t priced like others. NEEDS tinkering with: Red lens covers for right side console warning lights, Radio does not work, Needs new physical horns(wiring is hot), Tach won’t work without a correct Distributor installed. Clock works, Voltage works, Fuel Gauge works, Temp gauge needle is slightly bent and I don’t think it moves as far as it should as a result so it will need gauge or needle replaced. Slide door for ashtray is missing. Dash is cracked in 2 places and needs replaced. Needs new Radiator Core Support($425-$500 See pic for ad) as it is flaking rust in that area. Also, Front Cross Member could use replace as it bolts in directly to the frame below the Core Support($250-$300 see pic for ad). AC is complete but will need a new drier, flushed, and converted/charged with R134. Temp dial in the console allows levels to be changed from AC, Heat, Def, etc.. But, the right dial(temp set dial) will not rotate. Currently blow motor will not turn on in any position. Seat foam is dry and routinely powders out thru the holes in the vinyl seats. Rear middle compartment door got ripped out of the bolts to attach to the frame work. Paint gloss and shine is great but prep work in some areas is not great and there are micro bubbles on the hood and sections of fenders closest to windshield(see flaw pics).
